Treaty visa

A treaty visa may be applied for by an applicant needing to conduct work related activities where South Africa is party to a treaty or international agreement.

Both organs of state and relevant departments need to confirm the assignment to South Africa.

A treaty visa is usually issued for a maximum of three (3) years at a time, however, it may also be issued in accordance with procedures and requirements.

A relative’s visa may be applied for by a family member within the first and second step of kinship of the South African citizen or permanent residence holder.
