Retired visa

A retired visa may be issued to a foreigner who wishes or intends to retire in South Africa.

Proof of the right to a pension or irrevocable annuity or retirement in the amount of at least R37 000 per month must be submitted or proof that the applicant has the right to a minimum prescribed net worth must be submitted.

A retired visa may be issued for a maximum of four (4) years at a time.

Relative’s visa

A relative’s visa may be applied for by a family member within the first and second step of kinship of the South African citizen or permanent residence holder.

Long-term visitor’s visa

A long-term visitor’s visa may be issued to a foreigner who intends to conduct activities
