A long-term visitor’s visa may be issued to a foreigner who intends to conduct the following activities in the Republic for no longer than three (3) years at a time –
1) Accompany a spouse who is in possession of a long-term visa for South Africa;
2. Take an academic sabbatical;

4. Conduct research activities in South Africa
